Ta da!

So, thanks to Laura I got a blog award.

So, the requirements are to list seven random facts about me then pass the award on to five other blogs.

Okay. I'm really not that interesting, but here goes..

1. I am musical. I love the play my clarinet and bass clarinet. I love to play the cello. I love to sing and I love to learn playing the piano. My whole family is musical and someday I will own a viola.

2. I would love to move to Utah and live my life out there for forever.

3. I cannot and will not eat anything pink. The color grosses me out and makes me gag. I cannot and will not do it. I just can't. So gross.

4. I am a huge video game junkie. I love to shoot things in video games. It's so much fun and is SUCH a stress reliever. I absolutely love it.

5. I wish I would be a stay at home mom and never have to wake up and go to work anymore for the rest of my life. I wish I could have that option, but I don't think I ever will.. so everyday I go to work depressed knowing that my desk and I will be forever buds.

6. I suffer from severe depression, anxiety and panic attacks. No, I'm not going to go all crazy on anyone. It's called medication, but I do have it and sadly it was poor decisions and choices I had made in my life that caused these problems. However, I am overcoming it everyday. It's nothing big - it's just something I have to learn to live with.

7. I am Mormon and I love having the full gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I am so thankful to Heavenly Father for blessing me with the family and friends that are in my life and no matter how hard I try.. I can never repay him enough. I am always in his debt and you know what? I'm okay with that - it makes me be a better person.. to strive to be the best I can be.

I never write on this thing anymore. I'm just not one for it I guess. I only did this to amuse myself because Justin is napping right now and I'm oh so bored. Okay, I'm going to go and do something else now. Yippee!

Cone of Shame

Kolob ran me a $400 vet bill yesterday. He has to get his cahones (sp?) cut off and they had complications so it took longer and cost DOUBLE what it should have. I was so sad.

I colored my hair and cut it today! It looks so good and I look oh so better in blonde. Woo hoo!

I have learned within the past few days that I can't stand fake people. Yes, fake people suck and they annoy the beejeebers out of me. Someday Justin will make a load of money and I wont have to deal with stupid people ever again. Until that day comes though I will stick to studying to better myself.

Okay. The end for now. Justin just came home and I havent seen him all day. Yay :)

Nutshell

Haven't updated in a while! I've been so busy studying and working with my church callings and trying to spend time with my boy - I always put this on the back burner.

So here are some updated pictures of my humble abode!

I'm going back to school next Spring. I'm going for Business Administration. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time I guess. I'm going to Wake Tech and then if I feel prompted by the Lord to go for a bachelor's I will transfer my credits from Wake Tech to UNC-Chapel Hill to obtain my bachelors. It will be a ton of work, but I know it will be worth it. I feel strongly about doing this and I feel it will benefit us as a family in the long run even though it's going to be debt again. I hate debt. It has caused so many problems in my life. I'm going to apply for a ton of scholarships and grants as well. Hopefully the Lord will continue to bless us and we will be able to pay it off quickly. I've been trying to keep myself preoccupied with home decorating. We really only need to put the trim down in the rooms and just recarpet the bedrooms and fix the master bath. Everything will then be complete and I will feel so much better with the idea of becoming a baby factory!

Wedding Bells

Let's fast forward to the beginning of August now. My little sister who I swear is still 12 or something like that was married to her best friend: David Foster. The wedding was so beautiful and of course I cried like a big baby. I love my sister so much and I am so proud of the woman she is growing into. I'm so excited for their future together and I can't wait for the day that she gets pregnant and really DOES have children just like her..!

So, here are some pictures of their beautiful wedding to share with my friends and family!

As you can tell it was a great time with family and it was a beautiful celebration of uniting two families together. I'm so proud of Katrina and David for making such great decisions in their life and I'm so glad to have him as a Brother-In-Law because David is such a great man. Woo hoo! Family!

I will post a new blog in a couple of days where I will show some renovations of our home. We are getting new furniture this week so I want to wait until we get that in. I'm so glad these ugly looking couches are going to go bye-bye..! I'll definitely try to get better with this. Swear! :)

First things first.. BEACH

Okay. So I realize I really suck at this blogging stuff. I remember when I was a teenybopper and this was all I ever did. I remember I would actually get in trouble because my parents would read it and find out all about the terrible and rebellious things I did, but since I'm no longer a rebellious and terrible teenybopper - it's just way more difficult to find time to get on here and write my life away. But, I made time tonight to do just that. So, we will break up all the major events into individual posts and the world should continue.

So, on the last week of July, Justin and I went to the beach. I must say that the Outer Banks is so beautiful. I would just love to have $50,000 and spend the month there. I just find so much peace laying there on the beach in my cute little bathing suit, soaking up some sun with it's uv rays. So, Justin and I had a GREAT time there. We stayed at a place called the Sea Ranch Hotel. It was really affordable and it was really cute! Granted when we got there our room wasn't ready yet and I had to pee so bad, but as soon as we got to our room everything seemed so much better! Say hello to our hotel!

The best thing about this hotel was that when you walked behind it you were RIGHT on the beach. It was incredible! It was everything I had hoped for!

The weather while we were there was a little hotter than I wanted, but I definitely got some sun! However, that tan is LONG gone. While Justin and I were there we celebrated our one year anniversay at this absolutely amazing restaurant called JK's. The food was outstanding. Justin bought a $30 steak..! And my plate was some delicious shrimp pasta that cost like $17 and then we bought dessert. Our bill came to well over $100 but oh my gosh.. it was worth it.

So, JK's is a deffinite recommend and Kill Devil Hills is incredible. OBX is definitely my getaway!

Sail Away

I am so excited. Tomorrow I am leaving for the Outerbanks. I think I may cry when I drop Kolob off to the PetsHotel. It's like a child going to school for the first day. I may be an emotional wreck!! I have been really busy lately, but I will make sure to take a bunch of pictures of my fun trip and post them when I get back!

My fond memories of Mohanna..

So here I am, sitting at my desk at work (on my lunch break) and I looked over to my left and realized how pathetic my lunch actually looked.

depressing? oh yes..

See, I'm going to the beach in 2.5 weeks and I have to lose about 15 pounds before then. How in the world am I going to accomplish that one might ask? Easy. Please see the above image. This lunch however, is not working for me today. I may have to go and raid the vending machine in the break room later and get some fat yet oh-so-delicious honeybuns.

I was browsing the internet for home decorating stuff and somehow (like always) I stumbled upon the absolute BEST website in the world
www.cafepress.com

This website makes me so happy. So, I was looking up some cute Mormon garb and if you grew up in the hip and happenin' Latter-Day church you may have seen a certain and very special movie. Now, for the life of me I cannot remember this movies name, BUT, all I remember is calling it the "Mohanna You Ugly" movie. Of course growing up and being around the age of 12 and 13 watching this movie, you never really pay attention to every detail - only the funny parts. I'm pretty sure it had to deal with something along the lines of God created us all in his image and we are all beautiful inside and out and it doesn't matter what our worth is.. Well, I saw this t-shirt at the above mentioned website and it made my heart smile in ways unimaginable.

Look at that sassy cow showing off her glutes!

Now, if you never saw this movie or grew up in the good ol' Latter-Day church, you'd probably look and this and have no clue what it's talking about, but Mohanna was worth the trade of 8 cows for marriage (that was the highest trade ever in the "Mohanna You Ugly" land). When I saw this shirt it just made me laugh and brought back some great memories of begging to watch this movie in Young Women's on Wednesday nights - all for a laugh at the line "I give you 8 cow for Mohanna". Oh, Mohanna... You are so amusing.

Our home is currently under some serious remodeling and decorating. I'll be sure to post pictures of befores and afters once everything is compelted. The transformation will not just knock, but will blow your socks off.

In the meantime, it's back to the crazy grind!
